In addition to study and fellowship, WELCA members visit shut-ins and college students and provide meals for grieving families and those who are ill. In its “Wee Care Gown Ministry,” WELCA members cut, smock and sew gowns and crochet blankets for stillborn and premature babies who die in the four area hospitals. Debbie Carnell and Renee Sox are co-presidents.

Young at Heart
This is an active group which provides Christian fellowship and outreach for older adults from St. David and the community. The group meets at noon the second Tuesday of each month for a covered-dish luncheon and a program. Members minister to the shut-ins of the church and community through visits, music, cards, phone calls and special remembrances, including Easter and Thanksgiving baskets. Day and overnight trips and special events are offered several times each year. Some members participate in The Tone Chimes, playing chimes and singing at area nursing homes twice monthly. Stan Minemier and Ann Dowd are coordinators.

Scouting
St. David supports Boy Scout Troop 340.  The Boy Scouts have a diverse agenda, including camping activities, summer camp and service projects for boys who have completed fifth grade.  Contact the church office or Tim Sox, Scoutmaster, for information on any scouting program..

Basketball League
St. David sponsors a Youth Basketball League for children ages 4 to 12; players practice and play December through February in the Family Life Center.
